Bounty chocolate homemade
Making Bounty chocolate at home has been a long time in the making for me. Recently, I was holding a real bounty chocolate in my hand and I was thinking about how much I love the delicious, tropical flavour it gives. I decided it was time to make it at home, as I am convinced that there is more to homemade sweets than meets the eye.
Ingredients
- 200 g grated coconut
- 150 g confectionery sugar
- 200 ml Condensed milk
- 200 g dark chocolate

Directions
First, mix the coconut flakes, icing sugar and condensed milk in a bowl. Mix the ingredients well to make them uniform. My experience is that the coconut flakes really benefit if you mix these three ingredients together thoroughly, as they stick together much better.
Then shape the mixture into chocolates. I use a small spoon to scoop them out, so they are uniform in size.
Put them on a baking tray and put them in the fridge for 20 minutes to harden.
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate over steam. Personally, I don't like melting chocolate in the microwave because it burns easily and loses its flavour.
When the chocolate has melted, take the coconut sticks out of the fridge and roll them one by one in the melted chocolate, then put them back in the baking pan.
Finally, put them back in the fridge for another 20 minutes to harden the chocolate.
