Cheesy Hearty Homemade Chicken Pasta Bake
Chicken Pasta Bake is a comforting and delicious dish that combines tender chicken, al dente pasta, and a cheesy tomato sauce with flavorful seasonings.
Ingredients
- 1 pack Pasta of your choice
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 finely chopped medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 Cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1⁄2 Cup parmesan
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the minced garlic and bell pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Add shredded chicken to skillet and cook.
Add the cooked pasta, and mix until well coated with the sauce.
Transfer mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is golden brown.
Once done, remove from the oven, and let it cool before serving.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
