Christmas Rum Balls
Delicious Christmas Rum Balls that will make your Christmas celebration even more special.
Ingredients
Rum Balls Ingredients
- 21⁄2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1 Cup ground nuts (almonds, hazelnuts or pecans)
- 1 Cup Powdered sugar
- 3 tbls unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1⁄2 Cup rum
- 3 tbls light corn syrup
To Decorate
- 1⁄2 Cup powdered sugar, for coating
- 1 Package edible sparkles, for coating (optional)

Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the wafer crumbs, ground nuts, powdered sugar, and cocoa. Mix until well blended.
In a separate bowl, mix together the rum and corn syrup. Then, add the liquid to the dry mix. Stir until everything is thoroughly mixed together.
Scoop out a small amount of mixture, and roll into a ball. Repeat this process until all of the mixture is used.
Roll each rum ball into the additional powdered sugar until they are fully coated.
Place them on a lined cookie sheet, allowing some space between each ball for air circulation. Refrigerate overnight.
Before serving, roll each rum ball in edible sparkles for a festive effect, if desired. Serve and enjoy!
