Crispy Puff Pastry Cheddar Cheese Twists
Cheese Twists are a perfect snack for any gathering. Packed with a flavorful mix of cheese and dusted with a sprinkle of garlic and herbs, these flaky and crispy twists are incredibly delicious and will be an instant hit among your guests. Easy to make and absolutely indulgent, they make for a great appetizer or a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 letters of puff pastry
- 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tablespoon dried mixed herbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C for fan-assisted ovens) and line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
Lay out one sheet of puff pastry on a clean surface and sprinkle half of the cheese evenly on top.
Sprinkle over half of the dried herbs, garlic powder and season with salt and pepper.
Lay the remaining puff pastry sheet on top and gently press down to compact the cheese and herb mixture.
Cut the layered pastry into 24 even strips widthways using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
Twist each strip a few times and arrange them on the prepared baking trays.
Now, brush each twist with beaten egg ensuring all exposed pastry is covered for a golden finish.
Sprinkle over the remaining cheese and herbs evenly on each twist.
Bake in the preheated oven for around 20-25 minutes until the twists are puffed up and golden-brown.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on a wire rack. These Cheese Twists can be served warm or cold.
