Mix the honey with the warm milk and sprinkle in the dry yeast. Stir and leave to activate, about 3-5 minutes.

Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl of a mixer, including the activated yeast. Mix until integrated and then knead for 15 minutes. The dough will be a bit sticky. Grease your hands with a little oil and form the dough into a ball. Place in an oiled bowl and cover with cling film. Leave to rise until doubled in size.

Once doubled in size, place the dough on a floured surface and knead lightly until it forms a cylinder. Cut into 4 equal parts and then cut each part into 12 equal parts. Form each part into a ball. Repeat until you have 48 balls.

Dip each ball in melted butter and then cover with the topping. Place in a greased pan. Repeat with the remaining balls, alternating the toppings.

Cover loosely with cling film and leave to rise for about 30 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 40 minutes or until cooked through.
