How to make Classic Baked Italian Meatballs

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 Cup breadcrumbs
- 1⁄4 Cup parmesan
- 1⁄4 Cup milk
- 1 Cup fresh chopped parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cups marinara sauce

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Parmesan cheese, milk, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Use your hands to mix everything together until well combined.
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Preheat oven to 190°C.
For a firmer texture, you can refrigerate the meatballs for 30 minutes before baking.
Bake in the preheated oven.
In the meantime, heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to the skillet with the marinara sauce. Simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together.
