How to make Indian Curried Chicken Recipe
This delicious curried chicken is perfect for those who love a dish full of spice. Made with chicken pieces simmered in flavorful curry, serve with naan bread for a delightful meal.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, cut into bite pieces
- 2 tbls vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbls curry powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 Cup coconut milk
- 1 Cup chicken broth
- 2 tbls tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
Add the curry powder, turmeric, cumin, and paprika to the pan to coat the onions and garlic with the spices.
Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
In a small bowl, mix together the coconut milk, chicken broth, tomato paste, and brown sugar until well combined.
Pour the coconut milk mixture into the pan with the chicken. Stir well to combine.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
Serve the curried chicken over steamed rice or with warm naan bread. Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired.
