Directions
To make the mussels in white wine sauce recipe clean the mussels carefully under running water. Tip: Remove the "beards" (the fibrous parts that stick out of the mussel) and discard any mussels that are open and do not close when you tap them - they are probably dead and not safe to eat.
Peel and finely chop the shallots and garlic. Wash the parsley, shake dry and chop as well.
Heat the olive oil in a large pot and sauté the shallots and garlic until soft and fragrant.
Add the mussels and cook until they open. Now pour the white wine and let everything simmer for about 10 minutes. Tip: Throw away any mussels that have not opened - they are not suitable for consumption.
Season the sauce with salt, pepper and chili or red bell pepper flakes and stir in half of the parsley.
Serve the mussels in white wine sauce on deep plates, sprinkle with the remaining parsley and serve with the baguette. Tip: The baguette is perfect for dipping into the delicious white wine sauce!
