Quick Creamy Tarragon Sauce Chicken Breasts
This Creamy Tarragon Chicken recipe is perfect for a wholesome, satisfying meal that caters to both taste and health. The blend of tarragon with cream gives the dish a tangy, exquisite flavor, with succulent chicken pieces that melt in the mouth. It is an ideal dish for both casual dinners and more formal occasions.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbls olive oil
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Cup chicken broth
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- 3 tbls fresh tarragon, chopped
- salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add the chicken breasts and cook them until they are golden brown, about 5-6 minutes on each side. Once they're cooked, remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
In the same pan, add the diced onion and minced garlic, then sauté until softened.
Pour the chicken broth into the pan to deglaze it, scraping the bottom of the pan to lift off any stuck-on bits.
Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Lower the heat, then add the fresh tarragon. Stir well to combine.
Return the cooked chicken to the pan, spooning some of the creamy tarragon sauce over the top.
Cover the pan and let the dish simmer for about 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the flavors have melded.
Taste and adjust the seasoning, then serve the Creamy Tarragon Chicken hot.
