Begin by washing, hulling, and slicing the strawberries.

2. Step

In a large saucepan, combine all the strawberries, sugar, and water.

3. Step

Bring the ingredients to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar is fully dissolved.

4. Step

Once it is boiling, allow it to simmer on a reduced heat for about 20 minutes. You will notice the syrup will thicken and turn a bit more reddish.

Remove your pan from heat, and let your mixture cool down for sometime.

6. Step

Press through a fine mesh sieve into another dish, discarding the remaining strawberries.

7. Step

Finally, pour your syrup into a storage container and refrigerate. It will become thicker as it cools.
