Tomato sauce with meatballs
A delicious tomato sauce with meatballs, to which you can add, for example, dumplings.
Ingredients
- 500 g Minced beef
- 1 a piece onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 500 g ripe tomatoes
- Salt and ground black pepper
- 1 a piece egg
- 50 g Breadcrumbs
- olive oil
- Fresh herbs (basil, parsley)

Clean and finely chop the onion and garlic.
Before you start making the meatballs, I recommend you prepare all the ingredients so that everything is easier to prepare later.
Add the egg, breadcrumbs, half of the chopped garlic and onion, salt, pepper to the minced meat and mix. Shape into small balls.
In a frying pan, fry the meatballs in oil until golden brown.
Add the remaining onion and garlic to the pan and sauté until soft.
Add the chopped tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes until the sauce is thick.
Add the meatballs to the sauce and let them simmer for another 10 minutes.
You can garnish the sauce with fresh herbs before serving.
