Directions

40 min.
1. Step

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. These are dry ingredients that should always be mixed together and separate from the others.

2. Step

In another bowl, mix the butter with the brown sugar. The butter should be softened, not melted, so that the biscuits don't get too hard. Then add the egg and mix everything thoroughly.

3. Step

Add the grated apple to the butter mixture. I prefer to grate the apple coarsely so you can feel the chunks in the cookies, but it depends on your preference.

4. Step

Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet and mix until you get a dough that is neither too sticky nor too dry.

5. Step

If you like oatmeal in your cookies, you can add it now. They will give the biscuits extra texture and fiber.

6. Step

Let the dough rest for about 15 minutes to allow all the flavours to combine.

7. Step

Then form triangles (or other shapes) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

8. Step

Bake the biscuits in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes, or until they are nicely golden brown.

9. Step

After removing the cookies from the oven, let them cool and decorate them according to your imagination
