Directions
Beat the eggs with the sugar until foamy. Then add the milk, flour, oil, salt and vanilla extract and whisk into a smooth batter. Let it stand while you prepare the apples. The rested batter should be slightly thinner than pancake batter.
Wash the apples, peel them and hollow out the centre with the pits, but not all the way to the bottom. If you have cutters in different sizes, use the tip of the largest one to cut a hole after trimming and then hollow out the centre with a spoon.
Dip each apple inside and outside in the prepared dough and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20-25 minutes, or until the dough starts to turn golden and the apples are soft.
Let the apples cool briefly and then sprinkle them with icing sugar.
