Baked rice in the oven
Baked rice in the oven is a delicious and unpretentious dish. It is ideal as a main dish or as a rich side dish. The cooked rice is mixed with sauce, vegetables and meat, and after seasoning it is baked in the oven until golden brown.
Ingredients
- 200 g basmati rice
- 500 ml vegetable broth
- 2 Spoons olive oil
- 1 pcs onion
- 2 Cloves garlic
- salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Rinse the rice under cold water and let it drain.
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and fry the onion and garlic for about 5 minutes.
Add the rice and stir the mixture thoroughly to coat the rice with oil.
Transfer everything to a baking dish and pour in the hot vegetable broth. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
Cover the dish with foil and place in the oven for 30 minutes.
When the time is up, remove the dish from the oven and let it stand for 10 minutes more.
