Cheese Kransky Sausage Hot Dogs

- 4 kransky sausages
- 4 hot dog buns
- 1 Cup grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Mustard and ketchup, for serving

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to high heat.
In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Add the sliced onion and sauté until caramelized and golden brown, approximately 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
Place the kransky sausages on the preheated grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes, rotating occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a crispy, golden exterior.
While the sausages are cooking, cut the hot dog buns lengthwise, leaving one side hinged. Place them on the grill, cut side down, for a minute or two until they are slightly toasted.
Once the sausages are almost done, carefully slit them lengthwise, not to cut all the way through. Stuff each sausage with the grated cheddar cheese, distributing it evenly.
Return the cheese-stuffed sausages to the grill and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted inside and sausages are fully cooked.
Remove the sausages from the grill and place them in the toasted hot dog buns. Top each sausage with caramelized onions, mustard, ketchup, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve delicious Cheese Kransky immediately, while they are still hot and enjoy!
