Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C), and while it's heating, go ahead and start boiling the pasta according to the packet's instructions. But here's a tip from personal experience: undercook it by 2-3 minutes less than the recommended time for al dente. It will further cook in the oven to achieve the perfect texture.
Over medium heat, cook the ground beef in a large skillet until it is no longer pink. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper, cooking until the onions are translucent. This step imparts a great depth of flavor that truly mimics that of a traditional cheeseburger.
Stir in condensed cheddar cheese soup, diced tomatoes, and cooked pasta to the skillet with the beef, perfectly marrying the pasta and cheeseburger elements. The soup will add creaminess to the dish, giving it that desirable comfort food factor.
Pour the entire mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar across the top.
Bake for around 20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. The bubbling cheese will give the dish a tantalizing aroma, making the wait worthwhile.
Once baked, top with chopped pickles, ketchup, and mustard before serving. Trust me, these final touches won't make the dish soggy, but will instead mimic the real cheeseburger experience in every bite!
