Chicken with vegetables in mustard sauce
Chicken in mustard sauce is one of my favorite dishes. The mustard gives the chicken breast a distinct and tangy flavor that is the perfect contrast to the mild onions and whipped cream. This dish is perfect for Sundays or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 4 a piece chicken breast
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, black pepper
- 1 a piece onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 tablespoon mustard
- 200 ml whipping cream

Directions
Wash the chicken breasts well, pat dry and cut into slices. Then salt and pepper them on both sides.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken breasts on both sides until golden brown.
Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and crush the garlic cloves. When the chicken breasts are browned, set them aside and sauté the onion and garlic in a pan.
Then add the mustard and whipping cream and mix well. It is better to add more mustard as it will give the sauce a stronger flavour.
Finally, put the chicken breasts back into the sauce and let everything simmer together for about 10 minutes. You can add a little water as needed.
Chicken in mustard sauce can be served with smothered or roasted vegetables.
