Christmas apple cream
I've always loved traditional crumbly, apple-based cakes, but for years I've been looking for a recipe with a special twist for the Christmas table. This apple custard brings just that innovative, yet traditional flavour that my family loves.
Ingredients
- 8 large Sour apples
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 egg
- 2 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup Cocoa puffs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 board chocolate
- 1 wonder Cream powder

Directions
First, wash and peel the apples (tip 0: a good kitchen utensil will make it easier), then cut them into small cubes and set aside.
Mix the butter and sugar in a large bowl (tip 1: soft butter mixes more easily with sugar).
Add the eggs, one at a time, then the flour, cocoa and baking powder and mix to combine.
Add the milk and mix until smooth.
Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 35-40 minutes or until the dough is firm
Meanwhile, prepare the cream according to the instructions on the packaging (tip 3: chill the cream until the end of baking so that it doesn't melt immediately on the hot cake).
When the pastry has cooled completely, pour the cream over the top and sprinkle with grated chocolate (tip 4: always use good quality chocolate for decoration).
Serve with whipped cream for the best results!
