Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon Rolls, also known as cinnamon rolls, are a delicious dessert of American origin. Its main ingredients are cinnamon and sugar, but they are also prepared with a soft yeast dough that, once baked, acquires a fluffy and very soft touch. Here we will show you how to prepare them in the simplest and most delicious way.

1. Step

Heat the milk and butter in a saucepan over medium heat, until the butter is completely melted. Let it cool down until it reaches a warm temperature.

2. Step

Dissolve the yeast in the milk and butter mixture. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

3. Step

Add the sugar, the egg, the egg yolk, and the salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.

4. Step

Gradually incorporate the flour, kneading well until you get a smooth and elastic dough.

In a large bowl, add the dough and cover it with a kitchen towel. Let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

6. Step

While the dough rises, prepare the filling by mixing the brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Let it rest until the dough is ready.

Once the dough has risen, stretch it on a floured surface to form a rectangle. Spread the cinnamon filling over the dough, covering the entire surface.

Carefully roll the dough and cut into slices approximately 2 cm thick. Place them on a prepared baking tray.

9. Step

Preheat the oven to 180°C. While it is heating, let the cinnamon rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes.

10. Step

Bake the cinnamon rolls for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.

11. Step

While the rolls are in the oven, prepare the icing by mixing the melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until you get a smooth mixture.

12. Step

Remove the rolls from the oven and apply the glaze while they are still hot. Make sure to cover them well! Serve them hot and enjoy these delicious Cinnamon Rolls!
