Delicious Danish cookies
Making these Danish cookies is one of my favorite pastimes, especially during the holiday season. The combination of butter, sugar and vanilla creates a sweet aroma that fills the whole house as they bake. In the end, you're going to have cookies that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside that will delight everyone at home.

Directions
Preheat the oven to 180°C. In my experience, it is best to do this first so that the oven is at the perfect temperature once you are ready to bake the cookies.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until smooth and light. Don't rush this step, a good Danish cookie is characterized by the creamy texture of the dough.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until well incorporated.
Gradually add the flour and mix gently until you form a dough. This is where you have to be patient, add the flour little by little to prevent your dough from becoming too dry.
Once you have the dough ready, place it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This step is crucial to achieve the perfect texture when baking.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator, Form small balls of dough and flatten them slightly on a previously greased baking sheet. The cookies will expand as they bake, so be sure to leave enough space between each one.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown on the edges. Remember that every oven is different, so it is important to keep an eye on the cookies to prevent them from burning.
Let the cookies cool completely before sprinkling with powdered sugar.
