Directions
Preheat your oven to 220°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add butter to the flour mixture. Use cutter or your fingertips to cut butter into the flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a separate bowl, combine the lemonade, milk, zest and vanilla extract. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture.
Stir the dough gently with a wooden spoon or spatula until it starts to come together. Be careful not to overmix.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it forms a cohesive ball.
Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick round circle. Using a round cookie cutter or a drinking glass, cut out scones from the dough. Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space in between each.
Bake the scones in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and let the scones cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.
Serve the scones warm with clotted cream, butter, or your favorite jam. Enjoy!
