Garlic Oyster Sauce Chinese Broccoli Stir-Fry
Chinese Broccoli, also known as Gai Lan, is a popular and nutritious vegetable. This recipe showcases the delicious flavors of Chinese broccoli, stir-fried with garlic oyster sauce to create a delectable dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Chinese broccoli (Gai Lan)
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbls oil
- 2 tbls oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- salt and pepper

Directions
Wash broccoli thoroughly under cold water. Cut off the ends and discard. Cut the stalks into bite sized pieces.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the Chinese broccoli stalks to the wok and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes, until they begin to soften.
Add the Chinese broccoli leaves to the wok and continue stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes until the leaves wilt down. In a small bowl, mix together the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour this sauce over the Chinese broccoli in the wok and toss well to coat all the vegetables.
Continue stir-frying for an additional 2 minutes, or until the Chinese broccoli is cooked but still remains crisp.
Once cooked, remove the Chinese broccoli from the heat and transfer to a serving pla.
