Directions
Rinse the fish fillets and pat dry them with a kitchen paper. Season the fillets with salt and pepper.
Fill three shallow dishes - one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
Dredge each fish fillet in flour, making sure to shake off the excess. Next, dip it in the beaten egg, then coat it thoroughly in breadcrumbs.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded fillets until they are golden brown and crispy – it should take about 3-4 minutes on each side. Once done, remove them from the pan and set them aside to drain on a paper towel.
Cut the burger buns in half and lightly toast them.
Now, assemble the burger. Spread a generous amount of tartar sauce on both sides of the bun. On the bottom bun, add the lettuce, followed by the tomato slice. Then place the crispy fish fillet, and finally top it with a slice of cheese. Cover it with the top bun.
Repeat the process for the remaining burgers.
The Crispy Fish Burger is ready to serve.
