How to Best Crispy Crumb Fried Fish Fillets
This mouthwatering recipe for crispy, golden crumbed fish is perfect for a family dinner or a casual get-together with friends. The crunchy exterior beautifully complements the tender and tasty fish within.
Ingredients
- 4 Fillets of a white-fleshed fish of your choice (e.g. cod, hake or halibut)
- 1 Cup of bread crumbs
- 1⁄2 Cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of paprika (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying

Rinse and pat dry the fish fillets.
Season flour with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
Beat two eggs in a separate dish.
Place breadcrumbs in a third dish.
Dip each fillet into flour, shaking off excess, then dip into eggs and finally fully coat in breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Add the fish fillets to the pan, a few at a time to avoid overcrowding the pan.
Cook each fillet for approximately 3-4 minutes each side, or until golden brown and fish flake easily when tested with a fork.
Drain on paper towels.
