- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 3⁄4 Cup milk
- 1 egg

- vegetable oil, for frying
- powdered sugar

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Whisk until combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
Pour ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high until a temperature of 375°F.
Using a funnel or squeeze bottle, pour the batter into the hot oil in a circular motion, creating a pattern. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
