Directions
Prepare sushi rice according to its package or sushi rice recipe. Let it cool down a bit.
Cut a sashimi salmon fillet crosswise into thin rectangular slices.
Wet your hands with a bit of water so the rice doesn't stick. Grab a small amount of sushi rice, form it into a rectangle. Be careful not to press it too hard; sushi rice should remain somewhat loose.
Smudge a bit of wasabi on the top of the rice, then place a slice of salmon on top.
Serve Salmon Nigiri with soy sauce and pickled ginger on the side. You can garnish it with chopped green onions if desired.
