1. Step

In a larger pot, fry the bacon cut into smaller cubes on a bit of fat.

2. Step

Add finely chopped onion and crushed garlic. After a while, add pepper cut into small cubes and carrot sliced into wheels. Pour with water and leave to simmer for about 20 minutes.

3. Step

Then we add meat cut into cubes to the vegetables, add water so that it is about 2 cm above the meat and let it stew until tender. If the water evaporates, we add more as needed. We season with goulash spice, salt and pepper.

4. Step

Before finishing, we add diced potatoes and pour in some more water. We let it simmer for about half an hour. Lastly, I thicken it with grated potato (small as for bryndzove halušky) and let it simmer for a few more minutes. As needed, we add seasoning and add a bit of chili if you want it to be slightly spicy.
