Quick Spicy Arrabbiata Sauce Gnocchi

Ingredients
For the Arrabbiata Sauce:
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 cans of whole peeled tomatoes
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
For the Gnocchi:
- 2 packages store-bought gnocchi
- 2 tbls olive oil
- salt to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- parmesan cheese for serving

Prepare the arrabbiata sauce. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Stir in the chopped garlic and red chili flakes, let it cook for about a minute but be careful not to let the garlic burn.
Add the cans of tomatoes, use your cooking spatula to slightly crush the tomatoes. Add salt and oregano and stir until well combined. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
While the sauce is simmering, in a large pot of boiling salted water, cook gnocchi according to package directions until they are just cooked and float to the surface. Drain well.
Add the gnocchi to the skillet with the arrabbiata sauce, stirring gently to coat the gnocchi in the sauce.
Serve the gnocchi hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves and sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
