- 1 Cup of granulated sugar
- 1 Cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon zest
- 1 Cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- A pinch of salt

Begin by making simple syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water. Stir until the sugar fully dissolves. Bring this mixture to a simmer, then remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Once the syrup is cooled, stir in the lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, and the pinch of salt. Mix well to combine.
Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place in the freezer.
After about 60 minutes, or when the mixture starts to freeze around the edges, remove from the freezer. Stir the mixture well with a fork, breaking up any frozen chunks.
Return the dish to the freezer. Repeat this process every 30 minutes for the next 3 hours to create a smooth, granular texture.
Once the sorbet is completely frozen, it's ready to serve! Scoop into bowls or glasses and enjoy!
