1. Step
Let's start by choosing fresh and full chestnuts.
2. Step
We make a small cut on the wider side of the chestnut so that they don't fall apart when roasting, which in my experience is very unpleasant and makes an unnecessary mess in the oven.

Put the chestnuts on a baking sheet and lightly salt them.
4. Step
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the baking tray with the chestnuts in the oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden. Keep checking the chestnuts to make sure they don't burn.

After baking, let them cool for a while and then you can peel and eat them.
