Romaine lettuce fried with chili

This dish is a combination of healthy, crunchy lettuce leaves with a spicy hint of chili. At my house, I first made it for a quick dinner when I wanted a light but not necessarily cool dish.

  • 1 teaspoon Olive oils Added to
  • 2 cloves garlic Added to
  • 1 pcs Small chilli pepper Added to

1. Step

Heat the oil in a frying pan.

2. Step

In the meantime, wash the lettuce and dry it thoroughly.

3. Step

Divide the lettuce into smaller pieces. Depending on your taste, these can be smaller or larger pieces.

4. Step

In hot oil, fry finely chopped garlic - be sure not to brown it, as it will become bitter.

Add chopped chili peppers to the garlic.

6. Step

Add lettuce to the pan. Fry it only for a moment, only 2-3 minutes. It needs to soften slightly, but remain crunchy.

7. Step

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve warm.
