Simple Gravy Beef in Crockpot
Gravy beef is a delightful dish that is easy to whip up and satisfying to eat. Tender cuts of beef are braised in a rich and hearty sauce that is flavored with tons of herbs and spices. This dish is perfect for a cozy family dinner or as a dish for entertaining guests.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef cut into bite-sized chunks
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon Dried Rosemary
- Salt and pepperto taste

Directions
Season the beef with salt and pepper, and coat each piece in flour.
Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, and add 2-3 tbsp of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the beef chunks until they are browned on all sides, then remove them from the pot and set aside.
In the same pot, sauté the diced onions until they are softened and translucent, for about 3 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, dried thyme, and rosemary to the pot. Stir the mixture to combine all ingredients.
Return the beef to the pot, and bring the mixture to a boil. Once it reaches the boiling point, lower the heat down to low and let the mixture cook, covered, for 1-2 hours or until the beef is tender, and the mixture has thickened into a gravy.
Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.
