Soup with lentils
Lentil soup is one of my most beloved dishes. Simple to prepare, nutritious and satiating. Perfect for cold days.
Ingredients
- 200 g Lentils
- 1 pcs large carrot
- 1 pcs onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 11⁄2 litres Vegetable or poultry bouillon
- 2 pcs Bay leaves
- salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Start by washing the lentils thoroughly under running water. Thus, from the aspect of hygiene and prevention before removing any contamination.
Then heat a little olive oil in a frying pan, add chopped onions and carrots, fry until the vegetables begin to glaze. I cut the carrots and onions into medium sized pieces so that they are well noticeable in the soup.
Add chopped garlic and fry for another minute. You know, garlic burns quickly, that's why I add it at the end.
Transfer the vegetables to a pot, add the lentils, bay leaves and broth. Cook over medium heat for about 30-40 minutes, until the lentils are tender.
Finally, season to taste with salt and pepper.
