- 500 g beef mince
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 carrots grated
- 1⁄2 Cup red wine shiraz or cabernet sauvignon
- teaspoon smoked paprika
- teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoon instant gravy
- 1⁄4 Cup Beef Stock
- 2 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 letters puff pastry
- 2 letters short-crust pastry
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 egg

- Worcestershire

Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large pan and throw in the onions and garlic. Stir.
Add the beef mince and cook until browned. Pour over with red wine and sprinkle in the smoked paprika and nutmeg. Add in the mushrooms and grated carrots. Cook until the liquid has evaporated.
Add in the tomato paste, beef stock and gravy. Stir and remove from the heat.
Cut the circles for the puff pastry tops and the short pastry bases.
Press the shortcrust bases out into a muffin tin and scoop in some of the beef filling to the top.
Place the puff pastry lids over each pie and seal them.
Brush with the beaten egg and prick the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 25 minutes.
Serve while it's hot with your favourite sauces.
