Beetroot and cabbage salad
This beetroot and cabbage salad is one of my favourite recipes, which I particularly like because of its simplicity and flavour. The combination of the sweet, earthy flavor of the beetroot with the tangy cabbage not only brings a pleasing contrast to the eye, but also a tasty contrast that refreshes the taste buds.
Ingredients
- 2 a piece Medium-sized beetroot
- 1⁄2 Heads red cabbage
- 3 Spoons olive oil
- 1 a piece lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- Handful of nuts (optional)

Directions
Start by washing the beetroot and cabbage thoroughly.
Similarly, grate or chop the cabbage into thin strips.
Then put the grated beets and cabbage in a bowl and add olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Stir everything thoroughly and let it sit for about 10 minutes to let the flavours combine.
Before serving, you can sprinkle the salad with nuts for extra crunch and nutrition, which is also something I've tried and really appreciate.
