Directions
Preheat your oven to 475 degrees F (245 degrees C). If you have a pizza stone, heat it in the oven too.
Meanwhile, sauté your sliced mushrooms in olive oil over medium heat, adding the minced garlic halfway through. Sauté them until they are soft and juicy, then set them aside.
Stretch out your pizza dough on a floured surface until it is the right size for your pizza stone. If you don't have a stone, a baking sheet works as well. Sprinkle a little flour on the pizza paddle or baking sheet before you add the dough to prevent sticking.
Once the dough is ready, scatter the mozzarella cheese evenly across the dough, leaving a small margin around the rim for the crust.
Sprinkle the sautéed mushrooms across the cheese, and add the salt, pepper, and oregano.
Carefully transfer the prepared pizza onto the hot pizza stone or your baking sheet. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Once baked, allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves. Slice and serve warm.
