Cinnamon Christmas cookies

Delicious cinnamon Christmas cookies made from crispy buttery pastry.

1. Step

Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a baking tray with baking paper.

2. Step

In a bowl, mix together the baking powder, flour, cinnamon, sugar and a pinch of salt.

3. Step

Add the egg, soft butter and honey.

4. Step

Work out the dough. If you find it too sticky, add a little more flour. I found it best to let the dough rest for 15 minutes, it is easier to work with then.

Roll out the dough on a floured board to a thickness of approximately 0,5 cm.

6. Step

Using a cookie cutter, cut out the cookies and place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper.

7. Step

Bake for about 10 minutes until the cookies start to turn golden brown.

8. Step

Once cooled, you can sprinkle them with powdered sugar or frosting to taste, but they're still great.
