Directions
Drain the tofu and press for about 15 minutes to remove excess liquid, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
In a large frying pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. After that, add the tofu and cook it until it turns slightly golden.
Add the minced garlic and ginger into the pan and let them fry a little to release their aromas.
Add the broccoli florets, soy sauce, and maple syrup, then stir well to coat the tofu and broccoli.
Lower the heat and cover the pan. Let the ingredients cook together for about 5-7 minutes until the broccoli turns bright green and is tender-crisp.
Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, whisk together the peanut butter and lemon juice until they form a thick paste.
Pour this peanut sauce over the tofu and broccoli, stirring well to ensure every piece is coated.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste and let the mixture simmer for a couple of minutes.
Sprinkle the chopped spring onions and toasted sesame seeds for garnish before serving.
Enjoy your Tofu and Broccoli in Peanut Sauce with some steamed rice or noodles.
