Easy Homemade Passionfruit Butter Curd
Bring the tangy, zesty flavor of tropical passionfruit right to your breakfast table or tea-time scones with this homemade Passionfruit Butter. This easy-to-make spread is perfect to add a burst of flavor to your toast, muffins, pancakes, or even a simple spoonful.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup passionfruit pulp
- 2 eggs
- 1 Cup crystal sugar
- 1 stick of unsalted butter

In a heat-resistant mixing bowl, beat the eggs until they are light and frothy.
Add in the granulated sugar to the beaten eggs and whisk it until it is well combined.
Pour the passionfruit pulp into the egg and sugar mixture. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
Cut your unsalted butter into small chunks and add them into the mixture.
Place your mixing bowl over a pot of lightly simmering water. Make sure the bottom of your mixing bowl does not touch the water.
Stir the mixture constantly for around 20-25 minutes, or until it thickens up to a curd-like consistency.
Once thickened, remove your passionfruit butter from the heat and allow it to cool down.
After cooling, transfer your passionfruit butter into clean jars and refrigerate.
Your Passionfruit Butter is ready. Spread it on your preferred food and enjoy!
