Old-Fashioned Grilled Barbeque Hamburgers
This recipe brings back the classic taste of an old fashioned hamburger. The patty is juicy and full of flavor, coupled with crunchy lettuce, tangy pickles and tomatoes. It takes just 30 minutes to whip up these flavorful and hearty hamburgers. Perfect for a family dinner or a backyard BBQ!
Ingredients
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of Americana cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 4 Lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of tomatoes
- 4 slices of pickles
- Mayonnaise, Mustard and Ketchup as desired

Directions
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Make sure to combine them well.
Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
Preheat your grill or pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Top each patty with a slice of cheese and let it melt slightly.
Assemble your hamburgers. Start with a bottom half of a bun, then add the lettuce, the patty with cheese, a slice of tomato, a slice of pickle, and finish with some mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup. Top it off with the other half of the bun.
Repeat the process for the other hamburgers.
