1. Step
Pit the plums: Cut each plum in half and remove the stone from it. Then cut the plum halves into smaller pieces.
2. Step
Put plums and sugar into a large frying pan or pot. Stir and let sit for about 15 minutes until the plums release their juice. Then bring it all to a boil and simmer for 60-90 minutes until the mixture thickens to a jam consistency. Stir regularly during cooking to prevent the jam from burning.
3. Step
Pour the finished jam into sterilized jars. Close the jars and let them cool down.
