Pumpkin Spice Latte
For me, there is nothing cozier than holding a warm Pumpkin Spice Latte in my hands as the leaves begin to fall and the chilly fall days make themselves known. After much trial and error and refinement, I've discovered the perfect recipe that perfectly captures the flavor and special feeling of this highly sought after fall beverage. Below, I'm happy to share it with you.
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon Pumpkin Spice seasoning
- 2 Tablespoon Pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 250 ml Hot milk (or vegetable milk)
- 2 Espresso Shots (or strong black coffee)
- Optional: whipped cream
- Cinnamon for sprinkling

To make the Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe, warm the pumpkin puree along with the Pumpkin Spice spice in a small saucepan over medium heat. This step is important for the flavors to develop.
After about a minute, add the sugar and mix everything well. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until it has thickened a bit. From experience, I can say that this step really makes a difference, as the caramelization of the sugar allows for additional depth of flavor.
Now pour in the hot milk and whisk well so that everything mixes well. At this point I'll give you a little tip: If the consistency seems too thick, you can add a little more milk.
Take the pot off the heat and add the freshly brewed espresso shots. Now you have completed the base of your Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Taste the latte and add more sugar or spices if needed. If you like it extra creamy, top it off with a good layer of whipped cream and sprinkle some cinnamon on top.
Serve the Pumpkin Spice Lattes immediately. Enjoy the warmth and wonderful fall flavors with every sip.
