The most perfect roast chicken
This recipe is a favourite in our family. Step by step, I've made the most perfect roast chicken and I'd like to share it with you.
Ingredients
- Chicken fried in one
- 4 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1⁄2 teaspoon thyme
- 2 large Clove of garlic (crushed)
- 1 orange (cut into slices)
- 50 g butter

Directions
Preheat the oven to 200 Celsius. Put the chicken on a baking tray.
Mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme and garlic together and coat the chicken thoroughly.
I recommend that you leave the chicken to rest for at least 10-15 minutes between baking. Trust me, it's worth it.
Cook the chicken for 50 minutes in the first round.
Do not over-season the fried chicken. Use just enough to enhance the flavour but not overpower it.
To serve, slice the chicken in half and, once out of the oven, drizzle with the melted butter.
Chicken is best when still warm, so don't let it sit on the plate for too long.
