Watermelon lemonade
Watermelon lemonade is one of my favorite ways to cool down on hot days. It is not only refreshing, but also very simple and quick to prepare. More than once I've prepared it during summer barbecues or get-togethers with friends, and it always gets great appreciation. The addition of mint adds to its freshness, while lemon and watermelon add a sweet and sour flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pcs Little watermelon
- 2 pcs lemon juice
- 1⁄4 glasses sugar
- A thick handful of fresh mint
- Ice to serve
- Sparkling water to serve (optional)

Directions
Start by cutting the watermelon into small pieces. In my experience, the smaller they are, the easier it will be to blend.
In a blender, blend the watermelon chunks into a smooth mousse. You can strain it through a sieve if you prefer lemonade without the pulp. Personally, I think the pulp adds character to the lemonade.
Add lemon juice, sugar and mint to the blender. I do not recommend adding too much sugar at once, it is better to taste and sweeten according to your taste.
Mix everything thoroughly.
Serve with plenty of ice and optional sparkling water for extra refreshment.
An additional tip I'd like to share is that it's a good idea to prepare the lemonade a while before serving, so that the flavors have time to mingle! Enjoy this creamy and refreshing drink and let me know how you like it!
