Directions
To make fried cauliflower, divide the cauliflower into florets. Make sure that all the pieces are roughly the same size so that they fry evenly.
Mix the flour, salt and pepper in a large bowl. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs, and in a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs. I find it helpful to organize my work surface in advance to speed up the process.
Dredge the cauliflower florets first in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs and finally in the breadcrumbs. Make sure that all sides are well coated.
Heat enough oil in a deep frying pan. Fry the florets in batches until they are golden brown and crispy. I recommend not frying too many florets at the same time, otherwise the temperature of the oil will drop and the florets will become greasy rather than crispy.
Drain the fried cauliflower florets on kitchen paper and lightly salt before serving. I hope you will love this recipe as much as I do. Not only is it delicious, but it's also a great way to get more vegetables into your diet. Bon appétit!
