Simple Homemade Teriyaki Marinade Sauce
This Teriyaki Marinade recipe provides an tasty touch of Asian flare. Delicious on grilled chicken, beef, pork or seafood, it's the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and slightly tangy flavor. Having this marinade on hand will open up a world of quick and easy meal possibilities.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup water
- 5 tbls packed brown sugar
- 1⁄4 Cup soy sauce
- 2 tbls With
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir regularly until all the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is heated through.
Allow the marinade to cool completely. If not using immediately, store in a jar with a lid in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
To use the marinade, place the meat or seafood in a dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours. For more flavors, consider marinating the meat or seafood overnight.
